L'Ombrette

A little disappointed. I booked a thatched cabana in a lovely spot at the restaurant a week before coming for a very special and significant occasion. They confirmed on the phone that there weren't many reservations, so they would reserve the cabana for me. Upon arrival, we were seated at a small table in the central aisle near the entrance. They explained that the restaurant was full and that it would be difficult to get the table I had reserved. So, feeling a bit annoyed, we sat down. Despite this, the service was quick and the food was very good.

Very nice setting, generous and delicious dishes, good value for money. Some background music would be welcome.

Last night I dropped in unannounced with my partner to enjoy a delicious ribeye steak. We were incredibly lucky because the owner seated us without a reservation, but it was packed! It's definitely best to book ahead, as the service, the ambiance, and the quality of the food are very appealing. Absolutely fantastic! We'll be back. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Great little spot, excellent value for money, the atmosphere is really lovely, it feels like you're on holiday, very relaxed. The portions are generous, the meat and cuttlefish are absolutely delicious, and the service is excellent, the waiter is very professional 🤗 Good luck with this heat!

My boyfriend and I came to L'Ombrette for lunch, and we had a lovely time in a setting that's a complete change from what you usually find in the area. First surprise: the location! If you don't know the address, you'd never guess that a restaurant like this is hidden away on this street in Baillargues. There's a large parking lot on site, which is very convenient 🚗 As soon as you step inside, you're transported to another world. The setting is magnificent: tall trees, wooden furniture, a relaxed, festive atmosphere… Reading the website before coming, I saw that the aim was to offer a place where you can disconnect for the duration of a meal, and they've clearly achieved that goal 🌳✨ The restaurant is only open during the summer months, which gives it a real beach bar feel. However, this is also one of the things that held us back a little. Despite the shade of the trees, it was really very hot the day we visited. We were quickly sweating, which slightly diminished the comfort of the meal. A few misting fans would, in my opinion, be an excellent idea to make the experience more pleasant during the heatwave. We had booked by phone and were seated promptly. My partner and I both chose the ribeye steak. It was served with a well-seasoned salad, grilled zucchini, a little ratatouille, and fries. The meat was cooked perfectly, exactly as requested, with that delicious wood-fired flavor 🔥🥩 I especially loved the slice of grilled zucchini, which was delicious! It's a shame there wasn't a bit more... The fries and salad were good. The ratatouille was a little less impressive than the rest of the dish, in my opinion. The staff was smiling, welcoming, and pleasant throughout the meal. On the other hand, we found the service a bit slow, both in receiving our food and in having our plates cleared. Nothing dramatic, but combined with the heat, it slightly impacted our experience. I also enjoyed watching the kitchen working outside. It's convivial, the aroma of grilled food fills the air, and it fully contributes to the ambiance of the place. Ultimately, the value for money remains very good, and we had a pleasant time. The few points mentioned (the unbearable heat, the wait time, and some slightly underwhelming side dishes) simply explain why I'm deducting one star. Despite this, I would gladly recommend this place if you're in the Baillargues area and looking for a unique spot for lunch or dinner in a verdant setting 🌿😊

A wonderful experience at this restaurant; the place is cozy and the decor is beautiful. The service is quick, and the servers are welcoming and very friendly. The meat is cooked to perfection, which is rare these days. The portions are generous, which is a nice touch :) I highly recommend it!

We had lunch at L’Ombrette yesterday and had a wonderful time. The welcome was warm, the setting very pleasant, and the service attentive throughout the meal. We chose the cuttlefish and it was delicious! The dish was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and generous. You can tell the ingredients are high quality and the food is prepared with care. A fantastic find in Baillargues that we highly recommend. We will definitely be back!

Don't be fooled by the restaurant's villa courtyard setting. The place is charming and, as its name suggests, nicely shaded with tables under bamboo alcoves. The grilled meats are excellent, French-style, the side dishes are generous, fresh and varied, and to finish, the homemade desserts are equally excellent. To top it all off, the service is pleasant and efficient – ​​an excellent place to eat.
